The tūī is known for its distinctive colouring and iridescent feathers, and this artwork was designed to let those features stand out clearly against a warm orange background.

The contrast between the dark plumage and the bright backdrop was intentional, creating a piece that draws the eye and adds energy to a space.

Originally painted as a 50 × 50 cm square acrylic artwork, the composition translates beautifully into print form while retaining the bold colour contrast of the original painting.

The artwork is centred within the print with a small border, creating a clean gallery-style presentation that works well when framed.
